What is included with the registration fee?

Included in the registration fee is your race entry, AISCS shirt, and finisher medal. You’ll also receive the sponsor products and have the chance to be a part of unique live virtual coverage to be streamed through the Los Angeles Marathon and Santa Monica Classic Facebook pages.

When does race registration close?

December 2020/until we sell out

What is the distance of the course?

The Santa Monica Classic offers a 5K race and a 10K race. For the virtual race, athletes can choose to run either distance.

How do I run the virtual race?

Step 1
Plan your running route – you can run anywhere, even on a treadmill!

Step 2
Track your distance on your favorite tracking app or smart watch ex. RunKeeper, Garmin, FitBit

Step 3
Screenshot your results, include time and distance.

Step 4
Find your Registration ID code (It’s in your Active confirmation email)

Submit your results here

How do I participate in the live virtual coverage?

To be included in the live virtual coverage on September 13, 2020, athletes should upload a clip of their run on Facebook or Instagram and use #runsmc between September 9-12, 2020. Or alternatively athletes can live stream their run via Instagram by tagging @lamarathon during the live coverage from 7am and 9am on September 13, 2020.

When will I receive my medal and t-shirt?

Athlete packages will begin shipping on September 16 and will be shipped each week on Wednesdays. If you submit your time on Friday, your package will be submitted the following Thursday.
